Rockwall High School Library Procedures
- Unless you are with a class, you must sign in if you are spending time in the library.
- Sign in at the Sign In Station at each door.
- Students may check out up to 4 books for 3 weeks at a time.
- Books may be renewed once for another 3 weeks unless the book is on reserve for another student.
- To check out a book(s), bring your book(s) to the Library Circulation Desk and someone will help you.
- Return all books to the Book Return at the Library Circulation Desk or put books in the orange return box labeled 'Library Book Return' by the theater on the second floor.
- There are no book fines if a book is late; we just want it back so turn it in as soon as you can.
- If you lose a book, you must pay for it. Talk with Mrs. Young if you lose a book.
- If you need to see if the library has a book, you can search the online catalog at the circulation desk on thecomputer labeled ‘Catalog’.
- Also if you need help finding a book, you may ask a Library student aide or Mrs. Young, your Librarian.
- No food or drink is allowed near a computer at anytime, including before school and lunch.
- Students may use the computers on the Library Row after they have signed in.
- Computers should be used for school related activity only.
- Above each computer on the Library Row, an orange tag states which printer it uses. These printers are located at the end of the Library Circulation Desk.
- Students may print in black and white at no cost from the Library Row Computers.
- To print in color, students must bring their document on a flash drive to the Library Circulation Desk where it can be printed in color for 25 cents a page.
- This is not a quiet library, students are welcome to work in groups and hang out with friends, but please keep your voices at a respectful level for those around you who may be working. No music is allowed.
- Respect others property and person. Treat everyone with respect.
